Dear CERA members,

Happy Summer!

Now that CSSE 2024 is officially over, I would like to take an opportunity to highlight the following successes.

CSSE 2024: Despite all the challenges leading to the conference, we heard from many of our graduate student members that sharing their research and learning from seasoned researchers was a rewarding and enjoyable experience.
CERA Awards: This past year, we restarted our CERA Graduate Student Travel Awards and received many applications (which is a good problem to have!) Three graduate students were successful in the end. The David Bateson New Scholar Award received several nominations, and the Selection Committee faced a tough decision to make. Please check our CERA website (https://ceraacce.ca/) for further details and photos capturing the memorable moments!

Last but not least, please consider nominating your graduate students for the CERA graduate student spotlight. The graduate student spotlight (https://ceraacce.ca/graduate-student-spotlight/) is a wonderful opportunity to showcase graduate students’ work to a broader community. If you are a graduate student, self-nominations for the spotlight are welcome too. Maintenant que SCÉÉ 2024 est officiellement terminé, j’aimerais profiter de l’occasion pour souligner les succès suivants.

SCÉÉ 2024: Malgré tous les défis qui ont précédé la conférence, de nombreux étudiants diplômés nous ont dit que le partage de leurs recherches et l’apprentissage auprès de chercheurs chevronnés avaient été une expérience enrichissante et agréable.
Prix ACCÉ: L’année dernière, nous avons relancé nos bourses de voyage pour les étudiants diplômés de l’ACCÉ et avons reçu de nombreuses demandes (ce qui est un bon problème!) Trois étudiants diplômés ont finalement été retenus. Le prix David Bateson New Scholar Award a reçu plusieurs nominations et le comité de sélection a dû prendre une décision difficile. N’hésitez pas à consulter le site web de l’ACCÉ (https://ceraacce.ca/) pour obtenir de plus amples informations et des photos de ces moments mémorables!

Enfin, n’hésitez pas à proposer la candidature de vos étudiants diplômés pour la rubriquepleins feux sur les étudiants diplômés de l’ACCÉ.
