The Canadian Educational Researchers’ Association has two Special Interest Groups.
Groupe d’intérêt spécialisé: Sciences de l’apprentissage (GIS-SA) – Special Interest Group: The Learning Sciences (SIG-LS)
Special Interest Group: The Learning Sciences (SIG-LS) is founded in 2019, after participating in CSSE as CERA members. SIG-LS scholarship intends to initiate, promote, support, and advance our understanding of how people learn in context, and approaches to designing innovative and equity-driven learning environments in diverse settings. The members of SIG-LS will provide scholarly leadership to the Canadian education research community for the theoretical, methodological, and practical advances in the Learning Sciences.
For more information about SIG-LS, please contact Beaumie Kim (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Goupe d’intérêt spécialisé en éducation et médiation muséales (GISEMM) – Special Interest Group on Education and Mediation in Museums (SIGEMM).
Founded in 1993, the Special Interest Group on Education and Mediation in Museums (SIGEMM) meets during the Annual Conference of the Canadian Society for the Study of Education (CSSE) and the Canadian Educational Researchers’ Association (CERA). Students, professors, museologists, professionals and educators meet to share results of research (works in progress or completed) on themes that interest museum education.
