AERA Faculty Institute for the Teaching of Statistics with Large-Scale Data Sets 2012
The AERA Grants Program announces the 2012 AERA Faculty Institute for the Teaching of Statistics with Large-Scale Data Sets to be held on July 5-8, 2012 at Stanford University. The Faculty Institute’s goal is to expand the critical mass of U.S. education researchers using large-scale federal data sets, especially those sponsored by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), NSF, and other federal agencies, through preparing faculty to incorporate use of such data in doctoral-level courses. The Institute is for faculty members at U.S. universities who teach basic introductory doctoral-level statistics or methodology courses and who seek to integrate large-scale federal education data sets into these courses.
